How to See 2020 with 20/20 Vision

In any other year, I would’ve traveled around the globe a time or two by now, meeting with customers to discuss their concerns and how Hexagon PPM can help meet their objectives for profitability and sustainability.

But this isn’t any other year. It is 2020, and I’ve mostly stayed home, like the rest of you.

Ironically, in the past, the number 2020 has been used to illustrate perfect vision. Now, “seeing 2020” has a completely different meaning. I’ve been seeing 2020 as the optimal time to do things differently. The status quo will not suffice in this perplexing year, or truthfully, any year on the horizon.

Of course, I’ve been advocating for industry to veer from outdated methodology for a while now. I’ve encouraged digital disruption, but the global pandemic has brought unanticipated, unprecedented disruption.

But really, shouldn’t we have foreseen something like this? Scientists have warned of a pandemic for decades, but proper attention wasn’t paid to the possibility or to how debilitating it would be. It has exposed just how vulnerable we were.

We are now living in a time where the unexpected should be expected, and the strongest survivors will be those who will take on the unsettling task of battling inertia.

Because it is unadvisable to fly around the world and talk to you about this in person, we are hosting our first completely digital conference, HxGN LIVE evolve720, Nov. 4-5. You don’t have to pack a suitcase or get on a plane to become enlightened on how to double efficiency, cut waste by 50% and be 100% safe.

We can actually drive down the cost of scalable sustainability by improving your performance, growth and production. We do this by putting data to work across the enterprise.

I hope you’re intrigued. We’ve got two days of keynotessessions and demos geared at achieving historic, transformative change. We will start with me explaining how you can survive an anaconda attack. (Yes, we are employing the use of metaphor!)

Top industry executives will share their insights into how to move wisely forward, as well as customers and PPM experts who will deliver messages across four tracks: Project ExecutionOperations & MaintenanceBuildings & Infrastructure and Enterprise Project Performance.

Amidst the chaos and challenges this year, an amazing opportunity is in front of us. Let’s see 2020 in a brand new way.
