Spence Growth Option (SGO), a mining project of BHP Minera Spence, has built a modern copper and molybdenum concentration plant using Hexagon digital twin technology (the SmartPlant® suite) throughout the execution of the project. Hexagon solutions are at the forefront of digital transformation initiatives in many other industries including petrochemicals and aerospace. The digital twin solutions enable engineering and operations information to be managed centrally and truthfully by personnel involved in the project. This helps to increase safety, reliability and efficiency at the operational assets.
