Southern Star: Merging Data Analytics and Asset Management
The goal was to capture and trend sensor data on our compressor engine fleet to determine preventative maintenance points and capture maintenance findings and repairs. This full cycle data feeds back into a plan, do, check, act continual improvement process to refine preventative maintenance practices and move towards a path of true predictive maintenance.
We have realized savings over $1M by avoiding run to failure events. Our Event Frame Management tool leverages Hexagon EAM for the creation of work orders with activities, checklists, closing codes, comments, labor, parts/materials, and pictures for analysis. The Hexagon EAM Mobile for Transit application allows us to capture the data even in disconnected environments.
